The cold weather is settling in, our warmer clothes are coming out of storage, and scents of pumpkin and cinnamon fill the air.  Most of us feel that we are bound to staying inside until the warmer weather returns, but that is not the case!  There are plenty of activities that can be done outside that are fun, and keep us active.

Here are activities for fall from your fitness trainer Portland:

1.  Apple picking.  Not only is this a great way to acquire some fresh apples, but it also gives you the opportunity to walk around and burn some calories, not mention the effort it takes to reach for those red and green fruits!

2.  Making a trip to the zoo. With countless animals and exhibits to see, you can spend the entire day there walking around.

3.  Heading to the pumpkin patch.  If the pumpkin patches you go to are anything like mine, there are pumpkins that fill a couple acres of land.  This gives you a lot of ground to cover to find that perfect pumpkin.

4.  Corn mazes.  Not only will this get your heart pumping, it will also put your mind to work as you strategize your plan to make it out of the maze.
